Pulp Literature First Page Cage – Longlisted

Sooo, edits on Senex Born are still underway and I should not stray&play with new projects, but hear me out: the ADHD brain has attention problems (it’s literally in the name, people!). Also, what else is there to do but to start the next project when the WIP is with the beta readers?

Anyway… about a year back, when my trusted readers were busy with the Senex Born manuscript, I outlined a folk horror idea I had been toying with (in my head) for a while. I wrote a synopsis and the first few chapters before the feedback for Senex Born came back and I went into revisions.

But, ofc, I couldn’t just leave it and have been back to The Harrowling* (*aka Blottawood aka What the Blind Eye Sees) because – oh, look, shiny new thing, let me fiddle with it. It’s been my go-to project whenever I got frustrated with Senex Born and I entered the project to Pulp Literature’s First Page Cage Match on a whim.

They announced the longlist on October 30. I didn’t see that, though, because of the ‘send Meta-Zuck a message and stay away from Instagram for a week’ action. Yes, I totally didn’t manage the full week, because that would have been going until tomorrow and here we are.

That being said, I am SO HAPPY to be part of the longlist and in the company of so many talented authors.

I’m not sure exactly when the shortlist will be announced, but if I should lucky enough to make that, I’ll be certain to crow about it.
